Would it be okay to use air conditioners after asbestos removal?
We had a professional team remove asbestos siding in November. I'm nervous about using air conditioners thinking that anything left over might get in and then into the house. We have a small roof outside of our upstairs window so if any got on there, couldnt it get through the air conditioners? However, it rained hundreds of time since November so would it have washed away? Could there be any asbestos left on the new siding?
Cscs card for asbestos removal?
i have recently passed my asbestos removal new operative course and have been told i will need a cscs card for the sites i might be working on.i have visited the cscs website and have found that their are a number of different cards to choose from, can anybody tell me which card i will need?
How much does asbestos removal cost in RI?
We have what looks to be asbestos wraps on our hot water pipes and we are knocking our house down. I was told it will have to be inspected and removed if it is asbestos. I was told by one company it would be at least $800. Can anyone give me an idea of what it may cost and if that sounds right? There may be 20 30ft of it.Thanks
I'm really worried about asbestos removal?
I think the people who removed asbestos from the eves surrounding our house didn't do it properly, this was months ago and I can't stop thinking about it. We were inside the house at the time they took it down, I am not sure how your supposed to take the eves out but I know they were smashing them can't remember if they wet them first or not & then left the bits on the front lawn wrapped in black plastic for at least a few days. Is this the proper way to remove it? I'm so paranoid I'll get asbestosis.
Botched asbestos removal...how do we clean the air now?
12% frail asbestos removed improperly with vacuum cleaners. Yes it was wetted but fine layer of dust everywhere. How do we clean air in the home now? Do hepa filters filter out asbestos, what filter would you recommend? Thanks. And no we're not living in the house atm until this is resolved.Oh and I realize this isn't going to be an instant process its going to take weeks or months to get to a safe level probably. Cleaning dust with wet disposable rags everyday, but we need to know what a good filter is.Its not violating the law when the homeowner removes it themselves.BTW all the contractors in the real world laugh about asbestos and think its a joke. Hence why we weren't too concerned about removing it.I'm sort of on the side of the asbestos panic is blown waaaay out of proportion atleast the crystallite type. the blue stuff from Australia maybe is another story but i'm staying out of the house until we know more.
To clarify asbestos removal or operatives salary?
Hi, am i correct in thinking that asbestos removers can get something in the range of 1200, 1500 or 2000 gbp pounds per week?, or if not those exact figures then how much they do earn?thanks...
